Rich history surrounds the Chapin Mansion. Built in 1911 for the late Willis O. Chapin, the one-time residence is a tribute to the English architecture at the turn of the century. Its architect, Charles Adams Platt, is also widely known for architectural masterpieces located throughout the United States, including New York City and Washington, D.C. Mr. Chapin emigrated from Europe and brought with him items that are still present in the building today such as the 16th century stained glass present at the top of the main staircase. The building was home for the Chapins until 1937 when Willis’ son William sold the building to the Hellenic Greek Culture Center. The Center owned the building until 1953 when a local developer bought the mansion and renovated it to become the Delaware Nursing Home. Rich Products bought the building in the late 1980’s and eventually sold it to its present owner who renovated it into what it is today, a class A business complex that combines the old world with the new. This combination makes for a very comfortable and unique work environment that will impress you and your clients.
