Niagara Share Building - Constructed in 1925 as the Schoelkopf, Hutton & Pomeroy Investment Bank, this building has been an integral part of the downtown Buffalo business scene for many years. In August 1954, Mr.Schoelkopf was a principal member in the development of a local television station, which became Transcontinent Televison Corporation headquartered at 70 Niagara Street. Crescent Niagara Corporation, famous for their tool making, was a prominent tenant as well. In later years, the successful law firm of Cohen, Swados, Wright, Hanifan and Brett, who occupied the building for nearly 30 years, purchased the building in 1987 and owned it until they disbanded and sold it to today’s present owner. Plaza Suites will continue to honor this building’s storied history by providing an excellent facility to conduct successful business.
